VEX EngiBook — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VEX EngiBook is developed by RoboTech, Ptuj, Slovenia. Contact: info@robotech.si

This is an UNOFFICIAL app for VEX Robotics teams. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to VEX Robotics or the Global Robotics and Science Foundation.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following data: • Team information (team number, name, organization) • Notebook entries (text, photos, timestamps) • Team member names and roles • Meeting attendance records • Device identifier (anonymous Firebase UID) We do NOT collect: real names unless provided, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or any sensitive personal information.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively for: • Displaying your team's engineering notebook • Syncing entries between team members • Generating PDF exports of your notebook • Tracking meeting attendance We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT use your data for advertising.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud), which may be located in the EU or USA. Firebase complies with GDPR. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage. Text data is stored in Firestore. Data is retained as long as your team account is active.

5. Children's privacy (GDPR Article 8)

This app is used by children under 16 years of age as part of educational robotics programs. Parental or guardian consent is required for children under 16. Schools and coaches are responsible for obtaining consent from parents/guardians before students use this app. Children's data is limited to: first name or nickname, notebook entries, and attendance records.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to: • Access your data • Correct inaccurate data • Delete your data (contact your coach or info@robotech.si) • Export your data (use PDF export) • Withdraw consent To exercise these rights, contact: info@robotech.si

7. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services: • Firebase (Google) — data storage and authentication • VEX Events API — season information Firebase Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

8. Data deletion

To delete your account and all associated data: 1. Contact your team coach to remove you from the team 2. Email info@robotech.si for complete data deletion Data will be deleted within 30 days of request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy. Significant changes will be notified through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
